The English Language Arts Program
The English Language Arts (ELA) program seeks to develop students who are strategic readers, effective writers, engaging speakers, and critical thinkers through the structured literacy framework.
Work on this goal begins early in kindergarten classrooms and continues throughout elementary school. The literacy coaches at Long Branch collaborate with grade level teams to facilitate students receiving the best Language Arts instruction possible. If you have any questions regarding curriculum or instruction in English Language Arts explore the English Language Arts district site page.
For specific questions about your child or the ELA instruction at Long Branch please contact our Reading Specialist/Literacy Coaches.
